Ipora Route

On this route, the starting and ending points are the Service Area. The area we will be passing through consists mainly of agricultural land (mostly olive groves) and wooded areas. On the last stretch, we will make a long descent to return to the town.

Leaving the service area, we must pass under the A-92 bridge to access Camino de Ípora. Following this road, we will come to a level crossing without barriers, which we must cross with caution. A little further on, we will see the Cortijo de Doña Laura on the left and immediately pass under the railway line. We continue straight on until we reach a crossroads, where we must continue straight ahead. Immediately after passing this crossroads, enter the Vereda de Ípora, which is where the route continues. Pass the Cortijo de los Arcos and you will reach a road junction. This road is the SE-485. We must continue descending without leaving the ‘Vereda de Ípora’ until we see the ‘Cortijo de Ípora’ or ‘de los Naranjos’.

We leave the aforementioned farmhouse on our left and begin the ascent, following the Arroyo de Ípora stream. We continue along the marked path until we come to another farmhouse called Cortijo la Lapa. When we reach it, we turn left and, just before leaving the farmhouse, we take a path on our right to continue our journey. We arrive at Cortijo el Ciprés. A little further on, we join the SE-485 road, turning left and continuing until we reach a new crossroads where we enter the Cañada Real de Antequera via the path on our right.

Following this path, we pass close to the El Calvario Monastery, which can be seen from the lower part of Cerro del Calvario. We continue across the A-378 road (Martin de la Jara Road) to enter the ‘Vereda del Calvario’. After passing near the ‘Casilla de los Pericos’ and crossing the ‘Arroyo de las Viñas’, we come to a junction where we turn left to enter the ‘Cañada Real de Écija a Teba’. Shortly afterwards, we turn right to pass by the Cortijo de Madueñas. Continue along the marked path until you reach a crossroads. Take the right-hand path to continue descending along the Cañada Real de Cañete until, after passing the Cortijo de Capaparda, you return to Osuna.
