Countryside Route

The starting and finishing point for this route is the Osuna Municipal Sports Centre. The itinerary takes us along paths through cereal crops, passing several important farmhouses in the Osuna countryside.

Starting from the Municipal Sports Centre, head towards the Las Vegas Industrial Estate. Pass the petrol station located in this industrial estate and enter the Cañada Real de Morón (using the service lane). Shortly after crossing the Arroyo del Peinado, take the Vereda de Otero on your right. Immediately afterwards, turn left again to take the Camino del Cambrón, which you will follow until you reach the Cortijo de la Dueña Baja.

At this point, we enter the olive groves that we will see and connect with the ‘Vereda de la Romera’ path, which passes by the ‘Cortijo Venta de la Romera’ farmhouse. We will find ourselves at the junction of the ‘SE-715’ and ‘SE-716’ roads, where we will continue straight ahead, taking the latter road. Here we must travel approximately 3 km on asphalt until we reach another junction, where we take the road on our right, entering the ‘Vereda del Alamillo’ and continuing past the ‘Cortijo de Pajares’ until we reach the next road junction.

Just after crossing the SE-710 road (Carretera de Lantejuela), we can see the Cortijo Casablanca farmhouse surrounded by extensive olive groves. We continue our route along the Vereda de Rabadanes. Following this path, we will find the Cortijo de Cantalejos on our right and eventually reach the Cañada Real de Lucena. We follow this cattle track, passing the Cortijo de Topetecano, until we reach another junction where we must cross the A-351 (Écija-Osuna road). After doing so, we will reach the final stretch of our route. We turn right onto the Camino de Santa Cruz and continue along it without taking any detours. When we reach approximately the middle of this last stretch, we come across the Cortijo de Santa Cruz. We pass the farmhouse and continue straight along the road until we finally arrive back at the town.

It should be noted that during the rainy season, some of the roads become impassable. There are some alternatives, such as the one at the junction with the ‘Vereda de los Arenosos’ trail, approximately 9.8 km along the route, where you can turn right up to the top of Maestre and, after passing the ‘Cortijo Los Arenosos’ farmhouse, take the Alcaparral trail just before reaching the road.
