For this route, we will start at the Service Area and finish at the Municipal Sports Centre. We will gradually ascend with a continuous up-and-down until we reach ‘El Cerro del Gomerón’ and then finish with a descent in the final stretch.
We leave the ‘Service Area’ and take the ‘Cañada Real de Écija a Teba’ road, continuing along it for approximately 8 km. We will come to a crossroads where we must take the road on the right called ‘Camino de los Corrales’, which takes us to the ‘Cortijo de Juana Hidalgo’ or ‘de Bejarano’. After passing the farmhouse, we turn right through a gate that is always open and immediately have to choose between two paths. We take the one on the left, a small steep slope.
We pass by the Cortijo de la Dehesa de León and continue along this path for a good stretch, which runs between broom bushes and scrubland. When we reach some olive trees and the Camino de Moreta, we turn right in search of Felipe Sánchez's pastureland near the ruins of the Rancho de Palmeña and the Cortijo de Benamazón. We end up joining the Camino del Palmeña, which takes us to the A-451 road (Carretera del Saucejo). We will take the road towards Osuna for about 400 metres and turn left to begin the ascent to the ‘Cortijo del Sol’ along the ‘Camino de la Gomera a el Saucejo’. Immediately afterwards, we will pass by the Rancho del Gomerón and take the track to the wind farms.
Just as we begin to descend, we turn off onto a small slope on our left and take a path through the thicket of the hill called ‘Loma de Pérez’. We descend through some beautiful scenery until we reach the ‘Cortijo de la Ratera Nueva’ farmhouse. Here we turned right to enter the ‘Vereda del Moralejo’, which we followed until we reached a crossroads where we turned left.
We enter the Cañada Real de Ronda, first passing through areas of fighting bulls and then a steep descent just after passing the Rancho del Pescado. We continue along this cattle track, passing the Rancho de San Lucas and the Cortijo del Vínculo, and finally arrive back in Osuna on flat ground.
