We will start and finish at the Municipal Sports Centre. This route has quite a few ups and downs along the way.
From the Municipal Sports Centre, we head towards the ‘Carretera del Rubio’ road and, shortly after passing the cemetery, we take a path on our right called ‘Camino de cuesta de las Enanas’. We continue straight on, passing the ‘Cortijo de Sandino’ farmhouse When we reached the ruins of Rancho de los Angulos, we turned right onto Vereda de la Albina. After 1 km, we took the path on our left called Camino del Rosal y Gilenilla, which led us to Cortijo de Gilenilla Alta and Cortijo de Gilenila Baja. We follow this road to cross the Cortijo de la Beata and arrive at the SE-726 road (Carretera del Rubio).
We take the road turning right and after travelling 1 km along it, we leave it via a path that we will see on the left at the bend. We skirt around a pool of water and come out onto the ‘Vereda de Lucena’ path. We cross it to continue along the Camino de los Mártires and connect with the Vereda de Pozo del Rey. We cross the Cortijo de Alcalá and head towards the Cañada Real de Marchena, turning left. We climb up to the chapel where the residents of El Rubio celebrate their pilgrimage. there are picnic areas there and it is a good place to stop for refreshments. We continue down the Cañada Real del Término, which we follow after crossing the SE-725 road.
Following this path without deviating, we come to a crossroads further on, where we turn left to leave this path. We continue along this road until we come to another crossroads, where we turn right. We have been walking for several kilometres since passing the ‘Cortijo de Alcalá’, following the line that divides the municipal boundary. At this point, we can see the ‘Torre de Gallape’ tower on a hill to the right. After passing this tower, we will see another junction where we must turn left, until we pass a patch of eucalyptus trees and find a path that we take again to the left, looking for the ‘Cortijo del Monte’ farmhouse that we can already see. Now we continue straight ahead, passing the Cortijo de Las Basilias, returning to our municipal boundary and crossing the SE-725 road again. We continue without turning off until we end up back on the Vereda de Lucena, at the Cortijo de las Boticarias and the Cortijo del Terrosillo. Turn right until you reach the ‘Laguna del Terrosillo’ where you take the path on the left to reach the ‘Hacienda de Santa Cruz’. Finally, continue straight ahead until you reach Osuna.
