Treasure Trail

Tomaremos como punto de inicio y fin para esta ruta el Área de Servicios. Esta es una ruta en la que visitaremos el municipio vecino de Aguadulce y en la que experimentaremos varias subidas y bajadas.

We leave the service area heading towards Aguadulce, taking the service road from the A-92. We keep to the left to enter Camino de las Aguilillas, also known as Camino de los Carros. We pass Rancho de Méndez and then turn left to join the Cañada Real de Marchena a Estepa. We continue along this cattle track until we see a path on the left called Vereda de Hilo Morado. Follow it and keep to the right to enter Camino del Tesoro. Continue past Cortijo de Gilenilla Alta and Cortijo de Gilenilla Baja.

We continue straight on to the ‘Cortijo del Tesoro’ (Treasure Farmhouse), which gives this route its name. We continue on until we reach a crossroads where we turn right onto the ‘Camino del Carril Ancho’ (Wide Lane Road), which takes us to the ‘SE-9205’ road (Aguadulce to Rubio Road). We turn right onto this road and, After approximately 1 km, we turn left onto a rocky descent to cross the Rio Blanco. A little further on, we turn right and continue straight on, passing the picnic areas of the Ermita del Patrón de Aguadulce chapel until we reach the town, where we can stop to rest and recharge our batteries.

We continue through Aguadulce, passing by the Town Hall and exiting onto Calle Santa Ana. We then continue straight ahead, crossing two bridges, and immediately after crossing the second bridge, we turn left onto Camino de Rompesquinas.

We continue without deviating and arrive in front of the ‘Cortijo del Peñón’. At this junction, we turned right and crossed the Río Blanco again, beginning the ascent, first passing through young olive groves and then connecting with the Vereda de Ípora, which, after passing through the Cortijo de los Arcos and the Cortijo de Doña Laura, took us back to Osuna.
